When the trailer starts there are long shots of a dessert at night while the production company and director's name fades onto the screen. Long shots establish where the story will be set and the music played creates a mysterious atmosphere. Further into the trailer there are many characters talking about "the Ark" and the music changes to make the audience think that "the Ark" is dangerous. Slow paced editing is used at this point in the trailer to make the scenes more dramatic when the characters tell you about "the Ark". The main protagonist and antagonist are also introduced with a shoot up. There are many fast paced fights scenes after this which involves guns and explosions. This creates tension because there is a clear fight between good and evil. The fast paced editing is also effective because the audience won't know what will happen next. During these fight scenes dramatic music is played and creates tension in the audience. When the main antagonist is introduced he appears wearing dark cloths and in a dimly lit room. This makes the main antagonist look more intimidating. In this scene there is also a female character who is saved by the main protagonist. This suggests that there will be a love interest in this movie and might attract more people to come watch the film.
