Fury Trailer Analysis (War Genre)

At the start of the trailer there are long shots of tanks driving in the distance and there are close ups of the main protagonist and his tank crew members. There is ominous music playing which creates tension and makes this scene dramatic. In the next scene a new character is introduced and the trailer shows him as a soldier without any experience with tanks. The trailer then shows the main protagonists all in a tank and they engage in a fight with German soldiers. The music becomes quiet and there are long shots of the war zone and close up shots of the crew members. This is effective because it makes the audience wonder if someone will die in the fight scene. Next the dramatic music returns and lots of civilians are seen evacuating from their homes. There is also a scene where one of the crew members making a joke out of having the best job ever and earning $1.35 everyday. This scene is effective because the soldiers spirits are high despite the fact that they are in a war. In the last part of the trailer the new member of the crew is seen running back to the tank and saying that there are 300 troops on their way to their location. A compilation of long shots of the 300 troops and close up shots of the crew members also show how much they are out numbered. This scene is effective because the audience want to know how the team will be able to kill all 300 soldiers and whether all the crew members will survive or not.
